FOMO - Fear of Missing Out Have you heard of this FOMO - Fear of Missing Out
Have you heard of this term before?
It's the feeling of uneasiness that one is either not in the know or missing out on information, events, or experiences.
Very true to what I am feeling when I'm on instagram these last few days.
There have been so many beautiful sightings of dancing aurora from the northern hemisphere. Some of them were blasting in mixed colours, it's almost too good to be true. I so badly wish I could be there too.
So today, let me be, posting my own aurora moment, and at the same time, to be in the feel of spring, with some ice thawing, more sunshine and a hella good time.
Tell me how are you enjoying spring so far, Wicked Hunters?

How to make sure your camera is safe from water sp How to make sure your camera is safe from water splash?
When you're shooting waterfall, especially on a big waterfall where there's high wind and there's a lot of water splashing through, most of the time water will splash right on to your camera.
Would that be a problem for a camera?
Well, first of all, it depends on the camera that you own. If you have a professional camera that has really good weather shield, then it would not be a problem.
Now, let me give you an example, I use the Canon 5D mark IV, and there was this one time where this lady that I shot together with using this camera, she was standing inside the lake, the lake was about waist deep. The camera was set up on a tripod, but she failed to set up the tripod properly. So as she turned around, took off her sweater, the tripod fell and the camera plunged into the water. It was about seven seconds that the camera was inside the water, which is quite long, but in the end, there was no evidence of water leakage at all. Not in the sensor, not in the battery compartment and not in the lens. So the expensive newer camera have a really good weather shield and you probably don't need to worry about it.
However, for the entry level camera this becomes more tricky. What you can do is you can find a waterproof cover.
It's not really a housing that you use for underwater, but it's basically like a rain jacket for your camera.
What I find though, is that most of the rain jacket for the camera are very big, complicated, hard to put your camera through.
So I'm actually designing a very simple rain jacket and you know less is more because you don't have to spend a lot of time putting it on and taking it off for time like this. And you know, if you're interested do let me know. I actually don't sell this but if you're interested, if there's enough people interested then maybe I'll put it on the market.
So those are the two different ways that you can do to secure your camera from water splash.
Let me know what are your thoughts in the comment section!

Not saying it’s not cool to have cars like this. Not saying it’s not cool to have cars like this...

Watching Aurora Borealis dancing in the sky...
Nice cars, fancy houses, branded clothes and all materials thing are great to have...

Let's talk light pollution💡 Have you ever hear Let's talk light pollution💡
Have you ever heard of light pollution? It's when the bright lights from cities and towns light up the environment and makes it harder to see the stars and the Milky Way.
But did you know that it can also add an interesting element to astrophotography?
It can be used to create stunning images that capture a sense of scale and perspective, with the illuminated foreground contrasting with the dark sky.
On the other hand, light pollution can be a pain in the butt to capture a really stunning shot, since the brighter the sky, the less visible the stars and Milky Way will be.
Worse part is that when light pollution add an unwanted orange or yellow hue to the sky, which is difficult to remove in post-processing. Not to mention, it can mess with wildlife too.
Typically, photographers will try to find areas with less light pollution to get the best and more prominent milky way shot, or use filters and editing to reduce the effect.
But hey, with some creativity and a bit of effort, you can still capture amazing shots of the night sky even in areas where light pollution is present. So why not give it a try?
If you want to learn all the different and unique techniques of capturing stunning milky way shots, my Astrophotography Legend mentorship is open.
I will spill all the secrets to master the different techniques in utilising light pollution to your milky way shot. It's time to join and find the true meaning of happiness and fulfilment through photography.

Why it took me 8 months till I finally got this un Why it took me 8 months till I finally got this unique shot and how you can do it too…
7 single shots stitched into vertical panorama from Bali
Moments like this reminded me WHY I started this journey.
Some time before this shot was taken, I visited this place with some friends, and right away, my vision ran wild.
When I finally returned here to run an Astrophotography trip 8 months later, I had many compositions that I envisioned, but unfortunately, The Milky Way was too high, and wouldn't fit on my 16 mm lens.
What a nightmare.
But I'm someone who won't let any challenge put me down.
I dug into my creative juice and improvised...
But that's not all. The other challenge was the weather.
As we arrived, the clouds were thick!
It really took up my patience, as I waited rather anxiously for the sky to clear up.
Gosh, I'm glad it finally did.
We walked on this steep and small path to the bottom of the beach. And we started to shoot...
The tide was coming up, and the clouds were rolling back in.
We didn't have much time to make this a reality...
I asked my girlfriend to stand in front of the lights and really quickly took 7 photos of a vertical panorama since the tide were rising up so fast.
And when I saw how it all came together, I was in awe...
That joy and fulfilment in getting something I had envisioned for months. It's an undescribable feeling.
Since the beginning, I wanted to create my own art and let those who resonated follow THE WICKED HUNT..
And those who don't, it's ok too.
After all, we all have different tastes..
But the worst thing we can do is get addicted with followers, likes and engagement.
At the end of the day we started photography because of the art and we stay for it too!

Day of Silence! Have you ever heard of this befor Day of Silence!
Have you ever heard of this before?
It’s actually a public holiday here in Bali and if I ever need to point it out, nothing quite like this public holiday anywhere else!
For those of you who don’t know, the day of silence here is called Nyepi.
What is Nyepi? For the Balinese, Nyepi is a Hindu celebration that marks the start of a New Year - a day to cleanse the island from the previous year's misdoings and bad omens, establishing a pure and positive year ahead.
The whole island shuts down for a full 24 hours, and the streets are off limits to everyone.
Balinese are to dedicate themselves completely to connect more deeply with God (Hyang Widi Wasa) through prayer, fasting, and meditation. Acts of introspection of the Self, to evaluate the personal values they would bring into the new year.
As a day reserved for meditation and self-reflection, anything that may interfere with that specific purpose is strictly prohibited.
For Nyepi mandates a day of absolute quiet, based on the four precepts of Catur Brata, namely:
☘️Amati Geni: Prohibiting the lighting of fires, using lighting, or satisfying pleasurable human appetites.
☘️Amati Karya: Prohibiting all forms of physical work other than those dedicated to spiritual cleansing and renewal.
☘️Amati Lelungan: Prohibiting movement or travel; requiring
people to stay within their homes.
☘️Amati Lelangunan: Prohibiting all forms of entertainment,
recreation, or general merrymaking.
Tell me in comments below, how many of you have experienced day of silent and how did it go? 😀
