This is not Bali 🌴 is it? You should take pho This is not Bali 🌴 is it? You should take photos of what makes you excited the most! I been to 29 countries, I took ove 200k photos and won over 100+ awards. Between all of those photos some are popular it some just meh... No one like it, commented on it, etc... But the things that kept me going is the photos that I am trully passionate about. It's the photos that trully represent my "WHY?" The purpose that got me started in this journey to begin with... The Wicked Hunt. This is Bali, but I bet no one ever taken or seen photos of Bali like this. But that's what makes it interesting... It's not easy to take good photos, but it's hard to take a good photos from a popular place that no one ever seen before. During my first 3 years of my photography journey I took many great shots. Unfortunately I wasn't too proud of it.. Why? Because they are a similar shot of a photo that someone had taken before. People call it emulation period... But when I started to embraced who I am, what I love and the unique perspectives based on my personal interpretation along with camera techniques, that's when I can capture a trully one of a kind photos that I can be proud of. That's when you master the science and the art of photography and be able to find true fulfillment from your love of photography. Dude... Where is my car!? Can you spot my car? Dude... Where is my car!? Can you spot my car? One of the coolest camping spots I've stayed at! Just incredible... This was during my drive from Perth to Brisbane. I was selling the car and dropping it at my good friend on the other side of the continent. I promised him that I'd get there in 3 days... What I didn't take into account was the time difference! Every time I crossed the border, I lost an hour. I had 2 hrs of sleep for 2 nights and short naps when needed... Avoiding kangaroos at night was probably the biggest challenge. But thank goodness for the Audiobook! Keep me engaged and attentive. There were lots of coffee, red bulls, chocolate and snacks 😂 What A Wicked Hunt! I would do it all over again! What's your favourite camping spot so far? @djiglobal

The eye is useless if the mind is blind 🙈 When I saw this quote, it hit me hard. It reminded me of my early stage in photography. If you look at these photos, the subject is simple. Trees and snow. But why is this photo so powerful? I hear this all the time... Stanley, I can't take beautiful photos like you because I don't travel the world. This photo shows that you don't need to go to world-renown landscapes. The beauty is all around us, and if you can't appreciate it, you will miss it. It's the understanding and appreciation of lights, placement and composition that makes a big difference. This photo was taken during my backcountry snowboarding trip. There wasn't much apart from snow and trees. Did you know that shapes and colours can create different emotions? This is part of the 3 keys that you need to understand to master your vision so that you can capture a photo that does its justice & evoke emotion regardless of the camera you use. Half the photos I posted were taken using a Canon 6D that I bought second for CAD $700. I get it. I have been there too... It's scary to start something new... To pursue something that you have no idea how to start... But if you find happiness in photography, wouldn't it be worth it to push a little further outside of your comfort zone for life long skill that'll bring joy to your life? To be proud of the photos that you take, praised and not embarrassed to share these photos with your friend and families... And perhaps win awards or sell it along the way... Wouldn't that be nice? It’s more than simply chasing your passion What It’s more than simply chasing your passion What’s your biggest fear? For those who wake up in the morning, appreciating your life, you’ve been the lucky ones. I’ve seen so many people stuck trying to be comfortable, worldly things and forget what truly matters. The pandemic has shown us how precious and short our life is. I’ve never seen so many people pass away until the recent pandemic broke out. I am glad that I’ve made that jump to live my best life in 2018. In fact, if today were the last day of my life, I'd be ok with that. Many told me it’s risky. How do I find the courage to do this? It was the scariest moment of my life. 

I was going against the tide. Only a handful of people believed in my vision of life. Why would I leave a 5 figure job with great benefit and good career progression? It’s not about money, it’s not about career, but it’s about what’s important to you. For me, it was freedom. Being able to spend more time with your family, pursue your passion, do the things you always wanted to do but have no time for it. You can’t be happy if you live life to survive... You can’t achieve great things when you’re not passionate about what you do... If you can’t live a happy life, then what’s the point? So this year, stop investing in new stuff; instead, invest in YOU! Appreciate the time you have, be in the present and forget the doubt/failures that stopped you from achieving what you deserve. This year do what makes you happy! Pursue your photography passion. Indonesia or Canada? Burning sunset or starry sk Indonesia or Canada? Burning sunset or starry sky? About 3 years ago, I always struggled to capture photos like this. Actually, I'd struggle to figure out when will the sky turn like this? I would spend days going back and forth with a flat sunset or sunrise... I always lost the details of the highlights. Instead of burning red like this, it would be white. But now it's like second nature. So how can you make sure that you preserve the highlight? First, you want to underexpose your photo. Then you want to check the histogram that the highlights didn't pass the white. This way, you can reduce the exposure in posts with details. How painful would it be to see a sunset or sunrise like this, and yet you didn't have the right skill to use your camera and capture it? You'd miss the moment.
