Light will guide you home 💫 Do you think the S Light will guide you home 💫 Do you think the Starlink create a beautiful light trails in the sky or is it a polution to the stars? This was my very first time seeing The Starlink in the sky. @marie_holdsworth and I went on a wicked hunt to Abraham Lake and on the way back I saw this pristine untouched snow. A scenery I haven't seen often. But the snow was coming down a lot and we were able to make our own track. Oh what a wicked hunt! Sometimes the best time to head out is when there' Sometimes the best time to head out is when there's 30 cm of fresh snow unplowed on the road. This was one of the biggest snow storm we got last year and I knew the resort was gonna be packed. So @teeny_spirit and I picked the alternative. Drive on A Wicked Hunt through icefield parkway on a blizzards, not recommended if you're diving a sedan 😅 It was an amazing road trip, we had to turn around because apparently they're planning to close the road due the amount of snow accumulated. But one of the shot from this trip got me an Award with BIFA Budapest International Foto Awards and got publish through out the internet. Was pretty happy about that! Moral of the story is harsh moments create unique scenery. Lights will guide you home! Getting this deep suns Lights will guide you home! Getting this deep sunset color can be difficult. Here's a short tips 👇🏼 So when I shot this photo I didn't like it at all, I shot them over expose and the color was so washed out. Lots of reflectionnon the ice so you can't see the deep blue colour of the ice. This been sitting for a while in my library and I got curious. Last year I started to craft my post processing further and learn luminosity masking. Luminosity masking is where you can process your photo on a specific part of the photo based in its brightness. So I junped in and start working on it. I target the brightest part of the photo because I know if I can recover that I can make this photo interesting. I looked at the histogram and I didn't blow out the highlights, so I was helpful! I used ADP LumiFlow to mask and isolate this area, use the curve to bring down tge exposure and I couls recover a lot of the color. You see, when you shoot sunset like this. One of the best way to preserve the color without making it look fake with the saturation bar.... is by underexposing the photo all together during the shot. You have to be carefull that you still retain the shadow. News makes me sad and angry! It's crazy how much News makes me sad and angry! It's crazy how much in a bubble am I. I stayed away from news because there's so many things I disagree with. Violence, destruction, global issues. For this reason I stop worrying about what I can't control and worry about what I can. One of the reason why I believe people should travel more! - you'll become open minded - aware of other people way of doing things - understand that there's a reason why they do things We need more emphaty in this world. It's very easy to judge from far but The only way to understand what they're going through is by waking in their shoes. I don't usually talk about this but I feel it's necessary to share my point of view. I don't believe in a person, a country, a brand, etc. I believe in their core value - message, voice and how much positivity it impacts the world. So before you support a person, a country, a brand, etc - observe their action and how it has impact the world. What is their core value! Because words are cheap but actions is what eill change the world, hopefully for the better 😃 With power comes great responsibility so bewise when you decided to support a person, a country, a group, brand, etc. Anyway, you can call me ignorant but I am going back to my bubble of happy place. ❄️ Cold like Ice 🔆Warm like the sun I jus ❄️ Cold like Ice 🔆Warm like the sun I just love the contrast between the blue of the ice and the yellow from the sun. I never really appreciate sun as much until I moved to Canada. I used to hate them back in Indonesia. It was too humid and hot. I started to sweat even if I was just standing still. That's why I am a true believer that travel makes the world a better place. How about all that emission I burn of during the flight? Well that may not be good but since I started travelling I am more conscious about the environmental problem all around the world. Like her we have a glacier that are receeding 50 meter + every year. Have you ever seen a Parhelion in Meteorology? 🤯 A WHAT NOW!? Hahaha, I actually just learnt the formal name. Well, most of us call it Sun Dog. Swipey righty for full resolution 👉🏽 This phenomenon usually happens when the sun light refracted through the ice crystals in the atmosphere. One of the coolest phenomenon that I learnt when living here in Canada. But to get this sort of phenomena usually the temperature need to be extremely cold so that these ice crystals can form.
