Why wildlife?
For me, capturing wildlife is about capturing the essence of our natural world and all its wonders. When I photograph orangutans in their natural habitat, I am in awe of their beauty and grace. It’s a way for me to document and appreciate the incredible biodiversity that surrounds us.
Orangutans are facing numerous challenges as an endangered species, and my photographs aim to shed light on their plight.
I want to ignite a sense of empathy and foster a connection between people and these magnificent creatures. By capturing their unique behaviors and habitats, I hope to inspire others to join the cause and support conservation efforts.
But perhaps the most powerful aspect of wildlife photography is its ability to create a connection between people and nature.
When you see the curiosity in an orangutan’s eyes or witness their playful interactions, it’s hard not to feel a deep sense of empathy. Through my photographs, I aim to evoke emotions and foster a love for these animals and their habitats.
Through wonders of wildlife, we might be able to work together to ensure a thriving planet for orangutans and all living beings.

The most powerful tool in photography is..
You heard this over and over again, no it’s not your camera or tripods.
The biggest asset in photography is yourself. It doesn’t matter how expensive your camera is if you don’t understand how to take compelling photos it wont look any good.
It’s sad to see people spending thousands on their gear but never really use the full potential of the camera because they are not investing in themselves.
I was like that once, I kept upgrading my camera u til I have the top range Canon 5D mk IV which cost $5000 just for the body.
However it wasnt until I met a mentor that I started to exponentially grow.
In 2018 I got 2 awards out of 50-60 photos I submitted. My mentor made me realised that I wasn’t using my own vision. Instead I was trying to recreate other people photos.
When I understand that I changed my approach and in 2019 I was able to get 30 awards.

I have never seen such a sight before.
I have only heard stories of the magnificent Mount Assiniboine, one of the most sought-after backcountry hikes. But the world of backcountry hiking was foreign to me. Luckily, a friend of mine happened to be planning a trip there, and without hesitation, I declared, "I'm coming with you." So, with my preparations complete, we embarked on our journey, aided by a helicopter ride.
Our decision to hike in late September was deliberate. The chilly weather up in the high mountains meant we would be treated to the enchanting sight of Larch Valley. The alpine Larch trees, with their yellow foliage in the fall, created a scene of unimaginable beauty. And, of course, the majestic Mount Assiniboine itself was a sight we eagerly anticipated.
After arriving by helicopter, we set up camp and began exploring the area. Every moment was awe-inspiring, as we ascended higher and higher, taking in one breathtaking perspective after another. We experienced Mount Assiniboine at sunrise, sunset, during the day, and even under the night sky, capturing numerous photos, including mesmerizing astrophotography shots.
During one starry night, as we were engrossed in capturing the celestial wonders, we were serenaded by the howling of wolves and the symphony of other wild animals. It was a testament to the incredible wilderness of Mount Assiniboine. Personally, I found great joy in capturing aerial views of the mountain, with its peak majestically rising above the surrounding lakes, mountains, and textured foreground.
When aiming to capture striking photographs like these, it is crucial to consider the composition, from the foreground to the mid-ground and background. By harmonizing these elements, one can create a photograph that truly captivates, leaving a lasting impression.

Passion meets Art.
An unforgettable night capturing the infamous Blue Boat House of Perth, Western Australia.
Driving through the stormy city, I felt the excitement building within me. The rain pounded down as thunder rumbled in the distance. It was the perfect setting for a photography adventure.
As a photographer, I faced countless challenges, especially in making a living selling prints. But I was determined to capture the boat house from an unseen perspective and fulfill my mission.
One unexpected night, flashes of lightning caught my attention. Despite the early work morning, I decided to seize the opportunity. Heading to Kings Park, I aimed to capture the lightning striking the city's skyscrapers. As the storm shifted, I knew it was my chance to capture the boat house in a unique and beautiful setting.
With fatigue setting in, I stood by the boat house, waiting patiently. Then, a bolt of lightning awakened me. Behind my camera lens, I captured the power of nature and the resilience of the Blue Boat House in a stunning black-and-white photograph.
Having transitioned from engineering to following my passion for travel and photography, I now share my work through my Etsy photo print store. My mission is to inspire others and bring the beauty of nature into their daily lives.
The future holds uncertainty, but I embrace the next adventure. Who knows what moments nature will reveal to me? For now, I cherish this photograph of the Blue Boat House, a symbol of raw and magnificent beauty amidst a thunderstorm at sea.
